Italia Road Trip 2016

The Italian road trip is over for us. It's beautiful everywhere, it's most beautiful at home. We did a little more than 3200 km all together, saw a lot, walked a lot and had a great time.

Italy is always beautiful, always interesting when you get used to having to order espresso and coffee at the bar, when you get used to their famous working hours. More or less everywhere we were, the working hours were from 12 to 2.30 pm and then from 7 pm to midnight or longer. Where you can go for breakfast and coffee, they can financially affect you :)

If we were to highlight what we liked most it is definitely Polignano al mare, Monopoli, Matera and San Gimignano. Definitely worth a visit Pompeii, while the Amalfi Coast left me a little colder and I still swear by the Cinque Terre.

All in all, it was nice, calm and now it’s time to take a break from driving on the narrow roads first and then start making plans for the future again.

But for sure next time I would rather go by plane to Bari and from there by car through the cities of southern Italy .... even lower there are quite a few pearls that we will discover ....

Alora ... thank you very much Italy .... arrivederci ....
